On 27 March 2025, Justice pour Tous Internationale (JPTi) issued a press release condemning the ongoing inaction by the UN Special Rapporteur on the sale and sexual exploitation of children, Mama Fatima Singhateh. Despite detailed evidence and serious allegations provided by JPTi, including the systemic commercialization and financial exploitation of Germany’s foster care system, Special Rapporteur Singhateh has consistently declined to address these critical issues.
JPTi's submission specifically highlighted troubling financial incentives in the German foster care system, forced cultural assimilation of children, unjustified separations from biological families, and severe violations of international human rights standards, notably the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
JPTi urgently calls upon the Special Rapporteur to restore the full scope of her mandate, communicate formally with German authorities regarding the reported allegations, and explicitly reaffirm her commitment to safeguarding children from commercial exploitation.
